A Deeper-Skewing Melanin Match Shade Range
The HD Cream Foundation + Concealer collection contains 14 shades designed primarily for deeper melanated complexions.
While our Melanin Match Liquid Foundation includes a wider complexion range extending into lighter skin tones, this cream formula begins deeper and concentrates its shade assortment on the complexions most often looking for richer pigmentation and additional coverage.
Current undertones in the HD Cream collection include:
- Y — Warm/Yellow: golden or yellow warmth in the skin
- R — Cool/Red: red, rosy or cooler undertones
- N — Neutral: a balance of warm and cool undertones
The current HD Cream range does not include an olive-specific shade.
How to Read Your Shade
C = Cream Foundation
The letters identify the formula and undertone, followed by the depth level.
For example:
CY20 = Cream Foundation + Yellow/Warm Undertone + Depth Level 20
CR50 = Cream Foundation + Cool/Red Undertone + Depth Level 50
CN50 = Cream Foundation + Neutral Undertone + Depth Level 50

How to Use as Foundation
Apply a small amount to moisturized and prepped skin using clean fingers, a foundation brush or a damp makeup sponge.
Blend outward from the center of the face and build in thin layers until you reach your desired level of coverage.
For areas with visible hyperpigmentation or dark spots, press an additional small amount onto the area rather than heavily layering foundation across the entire face.

How to Use as Concealer
Using a small concealer brush, sponge or clean fingertip, apply a small amount directly over:
- Dark spots
- Visible hyperpigmentation
- Under-eye discoloration
- Uneven patches
- Other areas where additional coverage is desired
Gently tap or press the formula into place rather than rubbing it across the skin.
For under-eye application, use a small amount and blend in thin layers to avoid unnecessary product buildup.
